Happy Daz Charities

Our Mission
Happy Daz Charities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting human services organizations and causes in the communities in which Good Food Restaurants operate.  Happy Daz Charities makes grants in three focus areas:

  • Social services for veterans, especially hunger relief,

  • Shelter and services for the homeless,

  • And emergency assistance for families in crisis.

History and Current Projects
In November 2014, Good Food Restaurants announced the formation of Happy Daz Charities to support, among other causes, the operations of the Blue Star Mothers Veterans Food Pantry in Lima, Ohio. The food pantry, which had lost its former home in Allen County’s Memorial Hall, received a five-year lease at $1 per month to operate in a building owned by Good Food Restaurants owners John and Aimee Heaphy.

In addition to the physical building, Happy Daz Charities currently supports the operations of the Veterans Food Pantry, providing funding for utilities, insurance, and food purchases.
